Wilma Louise Schneider was born December 22, 1921 in Davenport, Iowa, daughter of Wm. T. and Norma B. Schneider. She graduated from Davenport High School. On May 12, 1942 she married Robert Fuller. He served in the United States Army Air Corps and he saw duty in North Africa and India. Wilma and her mother worked at the Rock Island Arsenal during the war years. Her oldest brother Carl Lee served in the US Army Air Corps in the Western Pacific. Her youngest brother Kenneth served in the US Army and was a prisoner of war in Germany. After the war was over she and her husband Robert had a son, Clein Jay Fuller. Unfortunately, Mr. Fuller died after a short illness in 1962. Later she met Edwin Burnett whose wife had also died at an early age. Mr. Burnett had served in the US Navy aboard the cruiser USS Atlanta which was sunk in a major battle. He and Wilma married on July 06, 1963 and raised their three children. They enjoyed dancing and paying card games. Mr. Burnett died on September 14, 1999. In 2000 she moved into the Luther Knoll Apartments in Bettendorf. She enjoyed the companionship of the other residents, especially her dear friend Celine Schulte.
She is survived by her son, Jay Fuller (Sue), her stepson, Edwin Burnett (Sally) and stepdaughter Sherri Haynes (Russ); her four granddaughters: Sherri Fuller, Trisha Fuller, Penny Fuller, and Dawn Fuller; great grandchildren: David Clark, Briana Clark, Mike Fuller, Ashly Fuller, Brandon Russell, Sammi Moore; great great grandchildren: Lilha Fuller and Briele Fuller; nephews: Lee A. (Lucretia), James G. (Rose) and Wm. T. Schneider; grandnephew Wm. L. Schneider (Ann); grandniece, Julia E. Larson (Ralph) and great grand nieces, Kelly and Megan Schneider.
