The son of Joseph and Vernida (Klinkenberg) Wall, Joe was born in 1950, in Dubuque, IA. He enjoyed a mischievous childhood, surrounded by his many siblings and extended neighborhood family.

He graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1969 and was employed at CARADCO for several years. He married Constance (Connie) Bahl on May 11, 1974, at Church of the Resurrection in Dubuque. Joe retired in 2014 after 40 years at John Deere, during which time he forged a number of close friendships.

Joe was gregarious and a ham and liked to tell a good story. He took his family on annual vacations that spanned the country, visiting many states and National Parks, camping and hiking. Following retirement, they embarked on an adventurous 6-week dream road trip to Alaska. Joe enjoyed extensive home projects, playing golf with his buddies, traveling to NASCAR races, and watching sports, especially the Hawkeyes and the Chicago Cubs and Bears.

Sending sympathy and prayers to you Connie, and your girls. I remember many years ago, the fun times spent with the Bahl family. Joe was a great guy and could always be counted on for a good story.
