Andrew Linscott Charlson

Passed away peacefully on June 28th 2023, after a long battle with COPD. Andy was born on October 26th 1946 to Ancher and Shirley Charlson in Laramie Wyoming. He was the oldest of four children and spent his youth in Vancouver WA.

After graduating from Battle Ground high school, Andy enlisted into the US Marines. During his tours of duty in Vietnam, he met his future wife Mimi Truong. Together they raised three children while being stationed at various military bases across the United States. After retiring from the Marine Corps, he returned to Vancouver before eventually settling in Davenport WA to live out his final years. During his last days, family and friends were able to spend time with him. His passing was precious where he had need to hear his sins forgiven in Jesus name and blood. Andy is survived by his three children, Tom Charlson with Jenny of Gaithersburg, MD, Kristin Efraimson with Roland of Davenport, WA, Sean Charlson of San Francisco, CA, 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Siblings Lynda Sarkinen with Stan of Yacolt, WA and Sue Tapani with Larry of Pasco WA. He was preceded in death by his parents Ancher and Shirley, brother Kenny and wife Mimi.

Services will be held at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Davenport, WA at 35900 SR 25 N Davenport, WA on Thursday, July 6th 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with the viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
