Clifford James Smith

Passed away January 10, 2016 in Spokane, WA his home Harrington, WA. Pete was born on November 11, 1938 in Brewton, Alabama to Earl and Alene Smith. After high school he joined the US Army in May 1963 where he served in Vietnam and served until April of 1969 when he was discharged as a SSgt. After the military he continued to serve other veterans as a service officer for many years. He is survived by his wife Anita at the home seven children Allene (William) Fromm, James Smith, Robert Smith, Major John (Erika) Smith, Angelique (Damian) Zoutis, Christopher Christensen and Eric (Louise) Christensen along with 10 grandchildren, one sister Carolyn Smith and several nieces and nephews. Pete is preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Heather Bohlin and great granddaughter Elizabeth Bohlin. He was a member of the Harrington Methodist Church, Amvets, D.A.V., US Army Vietnam Veteran and a MP at Ft. Knox. Pete enjoyed his grandchildren, fishing, hunting, camping and loved to take drives to look at the beauty of nature, reading his Bible, singing and loved to dance.
