Dave was 78 years old.
David was born January 9th, 1941 in Spokane, WA to Harvey and Vernie (Frost) Dixon. He is the youngest of 7 children and is survived by his oldest brother Daniel (Renee) Dixon of Cove, AR.
He married Bettylou VanHouten March 13, 1965. They raised 5 children. David graduated from Vashon High School in Vashon, WA. He was employed with the National Park Service. First working in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, then moving to Wilbur in 1980 working for Lake Roosevelt National Recreation area in Coulee Dam, WA and finally moving to Denali National Park in Alaska where he retired in 1994 after 26 years with the National Park Service.
David loved fishing, the outdoors and model airplanes, but most of all his family
David is survived by his wife of 54 years Betty, sons Chuck (Chon), of Colorado. Darrell (Rhonda) of Alaska. David (Selena) of Alaska. Daughters Irien Johnson (Chris) of Wilbur and Darlene (Dean) of Wilbur.
18 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
