Dennis Martin Kangas gained his eternal home on on March 26, 2025 surrounded by his family and friends at the age 76. He was born on December 19, 1948 in Estelline, South Dakota to Ernest and Ellen (Paso) Kangas.
In December of 1968, he moved to Clark County, Washington, where he married Yvonne Foley on October 11, 1969. In 2005, they moved to Minnesota, and resided there for 10 years before moving to Davenport, Washington.
Dennis was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church and was known from the heart by his brothers and sisters in faith. His family and Christian friends were the joy of his life.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers-in-law, Clarence Koistinen and Wesley Efraimson, two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 55 years, Yvonne, of Davenport, WA; five sons, Robert (Rhonda) Kangas of Benton City, WA; Dean, Curtis and Dennis, Jr. (Sarah), all of Davenport, WA, and Jay of Spearfish, SD; three daughters, Janice (Richard) Pedersen of Biwabik, MN, Alena (Quenten) Blomquist of Elkon,MD and Denise (Clayton) Roberts of Hayti, SD; 46 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren; three brothers David (faith) of Battle Ground, WA, Alvin (Mary) and Gordon (Delores), of Lake Norden SD: four sisters Marie Koistinen of Lake Norden, SD, Janice Efraimson of Bryant, SD, Charlotte (George) Peterson and Genevieve (David) Halme of Battle Ground, WA and a host of Christian friends.
