Elaine Cronrath

September 25, 1933 – February 19, 2022

Elaine Cronrath was born September 25, 1933 to Frances and Walter Zellmer. She grew up on their farm in Davenport. Elaine went to school in Davenport but finished her high school credits at Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, ID.

She married to the love of her life, Eugene Cronrath on September 20, 1952. They met as kids. They raised their four children Jared (Gina), Mark (Kathi), Joel (Wendy), and Ruth (Dan) on the farm between Harrington and Bluestem.

Elaine was a deaconess in the Harrington Nazarene Church, a foster mom to many & a homemaker. She got her NAC and EMT certificates and worked in nursing homes to help send her kids to Northwest Christian School for a year or two each. She went on a mission trip to Honduras to help build a church. She was a Grandmother and a Great Grandmother.

When her hubby began to decline, she cared for him in their home in Harrington until he passed in 2015. When she needed help, her granddaughter Michelle and her family came down from Canada to be with her at her home in Harrington. Elaine died peacefully with family at her side early Saturday morning on February 19, 2022.

Elaine is preceded in death by her mom and dad, and her husband Eugene.

Celebration of life will be at the Harrington Nazarene Church, Saturday March 5, 2022 at 2:00 PM
