Erma Jean Reed Kenney

Was born on November 9, 1921 in Sprague, WA to Daniel and Margaret (Black) Reed and the family later moved to the Creston area. Passed away September 7, 2014 in Odessa, WA formerly of Creston, WA. Erma attended school in in Creston and graduated from Creston High school in 1939. Erma worked various jobs and owned and operated the Boone’s Cafe restaurant for many years. She is survived by her two children Janet (Bob) Young and Mike (Janet) Kenney, her three grandchildren Lonnie Olson, Zachary Kenney and Noah Kenney and seven great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Marion Kenney in 1987, her parents Daniel (Boone) and Margaret Reed, a sister Gwen Reed and her brother Buzz Reed. She was a member of the Creston Christian Church, was a former Creston School Dist. board member and she enjoyed knitting, sports (especially baseball), fishing camping and traveling. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Creston Christian Church 110 NE Foster, Creston, WA with Pastor Guy Schmielau, officiating.
