Gerald ("Jerry") Williamson, bless his heart, passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones as he took his last breath. Raised in Mabton, he attended Washington State University graduating with an Agricultural Engineering degree, AND met the love of his life, Darlene (Abbott), at a Kappa Delta/Farmhouse function. After graduating, he boldly drove his family to Iowa, and excelled over the years in the Midwest as an engineer, eventually creating about 13 agricultural design patents. Midlife, he brought his family back to Davenport, WA after purchasing Dale Abbott's oil jobber business, then launched a Pacific Pride franchise, working with his son Wade, until retirement. Jerry was fun-loving, an entertaining joke teller, a competitive card/bridge/game player, and truly enjoyed laughing, along with all of the hugs from great granddaughters Maisie, Remi and newly born Maggie, as well as grandkids Mitchell, Jayson (and Jazmyne), Heather (and Jeremiah). Survived by his son Wade, daughter Kelly (and Duane Hopper), sister Jan (and Dave Rosenquit) and nieces Mindy (and Don Nelson + family), Julie (and Jim Leers + family). While Jerry is no longer with us, his memories are everlasting, and we can envision him being the life of the party celebrating lots of "fun & merriment" forevermore.
He will rest in peace, together with his wife of 63 years, at the Davenport cemetery after a small family service (TBD). Memorial donations can be made to the Davenport Senior Center where they were very active with bridge playing, family reunions, he formerly served as President, and much more.
