Jim was a special, joyful guy.  Always seemed to have a smile and a gentle way.  He had a full life.  Cliff gave a great, interesting story of his childhood and life.  We always enjoyed our times together when our children were growing up.  We shall miss him as we are sure you are, too.  You did a great job of putting his service and the pictures  together. To our dear Hoffman family~What a lot of wonderful memories we have of each of you.  We are so very sorry and disappointed we missed the service.  We did not know when it was until Friday night.  We would not have missed it, hearing more about our dear friend Jim, and seeing each and every one of you.  Somehow the message that it was on Friday did not get to us in time.  We have just finished watching the beautiful service.  I sure would have enjoyed seeing all the family and friends from over the years.  It sure did make my heart sad to have missed you all. I will miss his wonderful stories about our ranch histories and the way he always greeted me with a big smile and a wave every single time I saw him.  I respected and cared for him very much.

Was very sorry to hear of Jim's passing,  he was a first class person.  Always enjoyed talking sports and anything else going on in the community.  Condolences to the family.  Howard and Patti Manke

We are so sorry that Jim has passed. He was a good neighbor, always greeted us with a smile and took time to chat. We will truly miss him; it will not be the same out here without his smiling face.

What a great lifetime friend and neighbor. That infectious smile, will always be remembered. A man that truly lived his passion. Ranching was his middle name. Greatly respected by everyone that knew Jim. Happy trails to you. Peggy and families
