She was born November 15, 1971 in Seattle, Washington to Larry Hosking and Sherri (Crozier) Hosking. Jodi leaves behind her beloved family, loving husband Mike Piper; amazing children Justin (23) and Emma (18); her parents, Larry and Sherri; twin brother Jason; big sister Jenni; mother and father-in-law Penny and Bob Piper, as well as a niece Makenzie (Brian) and nephew Everett. Jodi grew up moving around the state of Washington living on both the east and west sides. She graduated from Sprague High School in 1990 and made Lincoln County her home. Mike and Jodi married in 1996 and has since become an active couple in the Davenport community, especially after the kids started school. Jodi took great pride in being a very active parent, if there was something to be done, she was there to help or organize. Once the kids started sports, you could find her at football, basketball, volleyball, or her favorite, wrestling. Often she was the loudest cheerleader! She was also very active in 4-H, FFA, the Jr. Livestock Show, and the Lincoln County Fair. Known to many of the kids as Momma Pipes, she loved supporting them or letting them know when they were messing up. Jodi was a woman of strong faith and love, she felt compelled to be a foster parent, even trying to continue after she became sick. In March 2014, she was diagnosed with a late stage ovarian cancer. During her long fight with the disease, she was humbled and grateful to the wonderful community and all of the love that was shared with her family. Her friends gave her such joy and they rallied with the Jodi Piper Fight Club.. Don’t Mess With The Foo! Jodi lost her cancer battle early in the morning on May 1, 2016. The family invites you to share in the celebration of her life. Services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Davenport Middle School. A potluck lunch will be served after the service. A scholarship fund is being established in her name. The scholarship will benefit kids of Lincoln County who are active in community service. Memorial donations can be made to the Jodi Piper Memorial Scholarship Fund at the U.S. Bank in Davenport. Strate Funeral Home is caring for the Piper family. So thankful to be able to picture Jodi at the right hand of her Savior, probably getting things organized for Him. But I know the void left in your home and hearts and pray for you daily. Know how loved you are by soooo many people and hopefully take comfort in that.

We feel blessed having known Jodi. Her energy and joy were contagious and we were all so fortunate to have had her help at CHS those early years!
Our hearts are sad for your family as you say goodbye for now.
