We are sorry for your loss. We only met Joe a couple of times at the reunions and we did have fun. He was my dad's best friend, so we were lucky to get to know him that way. Sorry I never got to have that drink with him. My prayer is that he and my dad, Emmett, are swapping stories in heaven with some of their other good friends and brothers. This world is an emptier place without them and we will miss them both. God Bless and Rest in Peace Joe. Send dad our love.

I remember when Joe helped my brother Randy to start raising Longhorns on his ranch. He would never been able to do that w/o Joe's advise & help. I loved seeing Joe at the property over so many years. Lovely man with such a generous heart. Takes me back thinking of him and Kip and my Dad Wes, sitting around shooting the breeze. You will be very much missed, Dear Joe. I will never forget you. Love, Debbie

Kay, Donna, Bob and Hal - I was so sad to read in the newspaper that your Dad passed away. I lost my Dad the day before Thanksgiving (2012) so I know how sad this is for all of you. Your Dad was always so good to me hauling me and you (Kay) around, always so patient and kind. I always remember him coming to the ball games and being there. He will be missed. Know that my heart is sad for all of you. Maybe he and my Dad can visit in heaven. My email address is Kay - would love to chat with you. Blessings to all of you. HOLLY HERGESHEIMER THOMPSON

A great man, a great warrior, that came from the "great generation" who served his country in the Great War and came out a hero. As a veteran, he was a hero to me and he will be missed on this side but I won't say goodbye as I will see you later Joe.
My condolences to the family, my cousins. I love you all.
