Katherine Ann Johnson

Long time Davenport resident passed away January 1, 2025. Kathy was born July 8, 1949 in Spokane, WA to Vernon and Lois (Lyse) Sautter. She was raised in Harrington, WA until graduating HS in 1967. Her family moved to Davenport, WA. She lived in Spokane while attending college before returning to Davenport where she later met R.E. (Gene) Johnson. They married on September 27, 1975 joining their families while staying in Davenport . Kathy loved her community and enjoyed sharing her faith and wisdom by volunteering where she could. She was a founding member of the Davenport booster club, member of the Harrington Golf and C.C (women’s division), a make-up artist for the famous Davenport Whistling Midgets and a member of the Davenport Presbyterian Church for many years.. Kathy worked for the law firm of Underwood, Campbell, Brock and Cerutti until taking the position as Lincoln County Superior Court Bailiff where she worked until she retired. She was an avid sports fan, in particular the mighty gorillas and could be seen at various sporting events cheering on her team being sure to correct the referees when they made a mistake. Kathy is survived by her husband Gene Johnson, their children Kim (Jim) Anderson (Kelsee, Abby, Brittany, and Natalie), Arlington, WA, Debbie (Greg) Henderson, (Vanessa and Leland), Ephrata, WA, Amy Hendrickson (Heather, Jarrod and Ashley), Moses Lake, WA and Bob Johnson (Zeke and Zach), Davenport, WA; along with 15 great grandchildren and her brother Hal Sautter, in addition to aunts, uncles, cousins and several nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Vern and Lois Sautter, her son-in-law, Darin Hendrickson and sister-in-law, Malinda Sautter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Davenport Gorilla Booster Club in Kathy’s honor.
