Passed away July 4, 2020 in Spokane, WA. His home is Wilbur, WA. Mervyn was born on May 28, 1941 in Nespelem, WA to David and Audrey Seylor. He grew up in the Keller area and attended school in Keller and Wilbur, graduating from Wilbur High School in 1961. After high school Mervyn joined the US Air Force where he served for 3 years before returning to Keller, WA. where he worked for several years in the logging industry. He also drove the Keller bus route for the Wilbur School district before going to work at the Lincoln Sawmill, where he worked from 1970-1981 as a forklift driver. On November 14, 1981 he married Jean Arneson in Wilbur, WA. After the mill closed, he worked for the City of Wilbur for a while before driving log trucks for Emerson Logging. He enjoyed going for drives and being in the woods, visiting with family and friends and telling stories. Mervyn is survived by his wife Jean, three children Rocky Seylor, Mervyn (Julie) Seylor Jr and Catherine Seylor along with grandchildren Logan Seylor, Nicollette Seylor, Levi Seylor, Hayley Seylor, Dakota Seylor and Brayden Seylor, three great grandchildren and his brother Clifford Seylor. He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Toni Seylor and a grandson Tommy Lee Seylor and daughter-in-law Nichole Seylor. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday July 18, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Wilbur City Park with Pastor Paul McArthur officiating.
