

Passed away July 17, 2013 in Spokane, WA. Her home was in Almira, WA. She was born on September 18, 1948 in Coulee Dam, WA to Theodore and Joyce (Benbow) Rice. She attended school in the Coulee Dam area graduating from Grand Coulee High School. She later married Wayne T. Johnson on November 28, 1974 in Coulee Dam, WA. They made their home in the Almira area where she lived and worked until her death. She was Almira’s reporter/Correspondent for the Wilbur Register for many years. She is survived by her husband Wayne T. Johnson at the home and two sons Theodore (Ted) Johnson and Dwayne Johnson and four grandchildren Leora and Abby Johnson, Malachi and Aurora Johnson along with numerous nieces and nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Ted and Joyce Rice. She was a member of the Almira Community Church, Former Eagles lodge in Grand Coulee. She was part of the Almira Bridge Club, enjoyed making candy, reading, cooking and reality TV, friends and family especially her grandchildren were most important to her. Memorial service, Monday, July 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Almira Community Church, Almira, WA with Pastor Paul MacArthur, officiating.
