Shane Michael Johnson

Shane Michael Johnson, 36, loving son, brother and uncle, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at his home in Davenport, Washington, surrounded by family. Born in Pullman, Washington on March 6, 1986, he was the son of Mark and Kathleen Johnson.

Shane spent his youth in Eastern Washington, attending schools in Waterville, Waitsburg, and Ellensburg, graduating from High School in 2004. After High School Shane remained in Ellensburg, where he attended Central Washington University.

Shane later moved to Snohomish County and worked for a number of years for a Non-profit social service agency in the Seattle/Everett area. He returned to Eastern Washington in 2016 to be closer to family and has lived at his parents’ home for the past several years, where he was able to express his passion of gardening, and rescuing orphaned plants and trees. He shared this passion with his youngest brother who will be carrying on Shane’s tradition.

Shane is survived by his parents Mark and Kathleen at home in Davenport, brothers Trevor (Ashley) of Harrington, Jason stationed in El Paso, Texas, and Louie at home in Davenport, sister Molly, Grandmothers Ann Johnson of Tonasket, and Mary Lee Hutchinson of Vashon Island, nieces Addie, and Ivy, and nephew Gus all of Harrington. He is predeceased by his brother Jacob in 2001, Grandfathers Dale Johnson, and Thomas Hutchinson, and his beloved cat, Melanna.

Shane was a fun-loving young man that was the life of any gathering. To honor his memory, we would like to have family and friends join us for an informal Celebration of Life at the family home at 12:00 PM (Noon) on Saturday, January 28th.
