Sharon loved the life and the farm that she and Marvin built together over the last 68 years. She was so very proud of the wonderful family that they raised, instilling good farm-kid work ethic, honesty and unconditional love. Sharon loved being “the farmer’s wife”, she was always busy with something, whether it be for the kids, the house, the yard, the farm, or the farmer… she just kept on going, from before the rooster crowed to long after the kids were tucked into bed for the night. She loved to ride their horses and take the whole family on long camping trips riding the horses up in the mountains. She loved crafting, and she loved her beautiful “park like” yard that she kept manicured to perfection. Sharon took great pleasure in doing whatever she could to make someone else’s life was a little better or easier. She was an honest, loyal, hardworking, loving, wife, mother, grandma, great grandma and friend. She loved fiercely. She never complained, no matter what, she just got the job done and done to the highest level of perfection, style, and grace.
While we are so very sad to see her go, it is comforting to know that she is at peace and pain-free, probably catching up with some old friends over a cup of coffee.
Please join us for a memorial service and celebration of Sharon’s beautiful life at The Almira Community Center in Almira on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 2:00pm. A luncheon will be served and there’ll be lots of time for remembering ‘the good ol days’.
Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to the Almira Fire Department, PO 94, Almira, WA 99103.
