On October 18, 2020, Terry passed away at Odessa Memorial Hospital after a three-month battle with Stage 4 Kidney Cancer. Terry was born August 12, 1957 in Hollywood, California and was raised in Reno, Nevada, graduating from Reno High School in 1975. When she was 17 years old, she met Mike, who she married on June 12, 1976.
In 1977, they went on a road trip, which eventually led to them moving to Harrington, and then Odessa, Washington. Terry worked as a bookkeeper while she and Mike raised two daughters, Jill and Katie. Through a great deal of hard work, Terry and Mike accomplished their dream of becoming first-generation farmers.
Terry loved to volunteer and was very involved in the school, extracurricular, and 4-H programs her daughters participated in throughout their school years. She was service-minded and continued her many volunteer positions even after her daughters graduated from high school.
Terry had a strong Catholic faith and is known for her big heart, thoughtful gestures, and selfless nature. She always went above and beyond to help others. She had the most beautiful, genuine smile and she took great pride in a job well done. She was a hard worker and a very talented bookkeeper at Leffel, Otis, and Warwick. She had a very close-knit family and greatly enjoyed time spent with her parents, siblings, daughters, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Terry’s pride and joy included her grandchildren, her daughters, her job, and her volunteer work.
Terry is preceded in death by her husband, Mike Connolly. She leaves behind her daughters Jill (Dave) Connolly, Katie (Matt) Douglas, grandchildren Angela, Michael, and one more grandson on the way, parents Clifford and Bonnie Mooney, sister Janie (Dave) Steward, brother Jim (Lisa) Mooney, sister Donna Mooney, brother Don (Leona) Mooney, in-laws Kathy (Steve) Cole, Jim (Tracey) Connolly, Jeanne McCrary, John Connolly, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Due to COVID restrictions, private Rosary and Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Memorials may be made toward maintenance needs at St. Joseph’s Altar Society at P.O. Box 339, Odessa, Washington 99159.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Odessa Memorial Hospital for the excellent and personal, attentive care they provided Terry as she neared the end of her life. The family also wishes to thank the countless friends and community members who have provided meals, flowers, gifts, cards, support, and prayers during this difficult time. The community has been there for the family in so many ways. Thank you all for your generosity and support.
