

William George Ironbear “Willy” Tapio Jr. (39) Traveled on to be with his ancestors to soon from Davenport, Washington, Thursday morning September 3, 2015. Willy entered this world January 6, 1976 in Ephrata, Washington to the home of William George Ironbear Tapio Sr. and Nancy Dawson-Tapio. A proud member of the Sioux/Chippewa Nations, Willy was dearly loved by everyone who knew him. Willy’s catlike reflexes came in handy in his profession as a construction laborer, as evidenced by his ability to always land on his feet, even when falling from a roof. Willy had a natural charisma and was a self-confessed “Goofball”, who enjoyed life, and always ready to add humor to every situation. Willy loved his family, admitted to being a “Momma’s Boy” and especially loved playing with his kids whom he adored.
Preceded in death by his dad: William George Ironbear Tapio Sr.; Grandparents: Mary and Pete Younger and Bonnie Hendrickson, sister: Alicia Hansen and uncle: Doug Dawson and aunts: Debbie McCloud and Vicki Jones; William’s legacy lives on through his beloved children: Jocelyn Tapio, Helene Tapio and Liam Tapio; mother: Nancy St. Pierre (Rick Cobb); step-dad: Henry St. Pierre; brothers: Jeremiah Cobb and Mark Martinez; sisters: Selena Hines (Mike), Charlotte Tapio, Leah Tapio (Raul Santana), Justine Fredericksen (Bill) and Dwanna Tapio (Andy Torres); numerous aunts and uncles; numerous nephews and nieces and two great nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 41836 Paradise Lane North, Lincoln WA 99147, Saturday September, 26, 2015 at 3:00pm. Guests are welcome to bring a tent to camp and spend time with family and friends celebrating him.
