William C. "Bill" Bolton

Funeral services for William Bolton, 78, of Long Grove, will be 10:30 am on Wednesday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Long Grove. The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 9:30 am to service time at the church. The family will also greet friends on Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the church. Interment will be at St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery.Cunnick-Collins Mortuary in charge of arrangements. William passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.William Bolton was born on February 27, 1937 in Keokuk, IA, the son of Raymond and Marie (Wilkens) Bolton. He married Elizabeth Ann Early on June 4, 1960. She preceded him in death on January 2, 2014. William owned and operated Central States Electronics, Davenport, for 42 years, retiring in 2002.William’s interest include weather spotting, Geocaching, old steam engines, tractor pulling and ham radio. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Davenport Amateur Radio Club and served as past-president of the Hilltop Businessman’s Association.Survivors include his eight Children: Sue (Jeff) Bruhn of Golden Valley, MN, Ray (Cindi) Bolton of Muscatine, Julie (Jeff) Perkins of Neenah, WI, Linda Bolton of Preston, IA, Chris Bolton of Covington, LA, Michael Bolton of Bettendorf, Mary (James) Hill of Donahue, IA, Shawn Bolton of Long Grove; 14 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren, sister; Patricia Dietz of Rock Island and brothers; George Bolton of CA and Tom Bolton of Davenport. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Elizabeth. Memorials may be directed to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House or St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Long Grove.
