Louis, “luchito” or “Don Chorito,” Antonio Coronado was born Dec 30th 1946 and passed away on Sunday, March 30th, in Columbia, MD. Lucho, 78, was very strong willed and master of his destiny, and he would quote Frank Sinatra’s “I did it my way” to us. He had many important roles in his life: “Husband, Father, Grandfather, Ph.D. Diplomat”, and “a rebel” in his younger college years in Chile.
His family members would lovingly joke that Luchito had 9 lives, and he indeed lived them all to the fullest! He would delight us with stories from his travels around the world, close calls, and funny anecdotes. His passion was music, tennis and books. His collection of Reel-to-Reels, Vinyl’s, 8-tracks, and Cassettes are legendary, and his music mixes remembered by all who attended his dinner parties, or the wakeup calls for breakfast.
Lucho’s legacy is his family. His beautiful “hormiguita” wife, Evangelina, and his four children: Patito, Titita, Shanita y Sofita. One of his proudest titles was as a grandfather to his seven grandchildren: Nolancito, Nealie, Niquito, Merric Louis, Evita, Callumcito Doctor#1, and Makito Doctor#2. Luchito’s closest family was his older brother Manuel and his sister-in-law, Martina, who reside in Chile. He adopted three wonderful son-in-laws and daughter-in-law: Donita, Billoski, Gregorio, and Chad. He adored his family and was so very proud of them. He also loved his “cuatro-patas” and the ones who are with him now, watching us from above and taking care of us.
We find solace and joy knowing he is now enjoying his journey with his mom, dad and brother.
We miss you and your energy will forever envelope us!
