Mr. Bernard Edward Devlin

Born on May 24, 1946, in Queens, New York, Bernie spent his childhood growing up in Broad Channel, New York.

In 1957, his family relocated to Miramar, Florida, where he would build the foundation for a life centered on family, friendship, and hard work. Bernie graduated from McArthur High School with the Class of 1964, where he met the love of his life, Angelina "Julie" Barile. Their high school friendship blossomed into a lifelong romance, and they were married on May 2, 1970. Together they shared more than five decades of love, partnership, and cherished memories.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Florida Atlantic University and enjoyed a successful career as a Project Manager, first with Broward Plating and later with Cliff Berry, Inc. Bernie was known for his dedication, strong work ethic, and commitment to those he worked alongside.

Above all else, Bernie was devoted to his family. He treasured every moment spent with his wife, children, and grandsons, whose lives were enriched by his love, guidance, and unwavering support. His kindness, quiet strength, and sense of humor will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Bernie was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Mildred Devlin, and his brother, Charles Devlin.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Angelina "Julie" Devlin; his son, Brian Devlin; his daughter, Laura Devlin; his son-in-law, Manu Grondona; and his cherished grandsons, Marcos and Felipe Grondona. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bonaventure Catholic Parish, 1301 SW 136th Avenue, Davie, Florida 33325.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all their friends and loved ones for the years of love, support, and countless cherished memories. They also offer a special thank you to the compassionate caregivers of Trustbridge Hospice Care for the comfort and care they provided to Bernie and the family during his final days.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Bonaventure Catholic Parish or St. Paul Lutheran Church in Weston, Florida.

Bernie's legacy lives on in the family he loved the friendships he treasured, and the many lives he touched through his kindness, generosity, and enduring love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
