Clarence Gary Austin

Clarence “Gary” Austin, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 26th in Plantation, Florida.

Gary was born on July 22, 1941, in Lansing, Michigan, to Clarence Herbert Austin and Leota Austin. He was a loving son, father, and friend whose kindness and sense of humor touched the lives of all who knew him.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Leota Austin. He is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his children: Kim Austin-Ellis, Troy Austin, Linda “Liz” Watkins, Nicole Roper, Gary Austin, Ashley Austin, and Tiffany Austin. His legacy of love and laughter will continue to live on through them and all who were fortunate to know him.

A funeral service to celebrate Gary’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on October 29th at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home, 2401 S. University Drive, Davie, FL 33324. Arrangements are being handled with care by Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a charity or organization meaningful to you, or to a local hospice in Gary’s memory.
