

Danny was born in Des Moines, IA to Bertha and Glen Ross on February 27, 1944. He attended primary school in Des Moines. Danny married his high school sweetheart, Janet Samo on June 15, 1963 in Des Moines, IA. He graduated from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, and then worked at Motorola as an electrical engineer for 40 years. He was involved in PAL sports, DX Ham club, Cooper City Ham Club and was a member of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. He received recognition while at Motorola for creating multiple patents for the company. He also enjoyed playing golf and tennis, flying a Cessna airplane, competing in national and international Ham competitions, woodworking, and spending time with family and grandkids.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Bertha Ross, and his brother, Larry Ross.
Danny is survived by his wife, Janet Ross, children, Doug and Nadine Ross and Ben and Lori Glaspey, sister, Glenda Madlom, and grandchildren, Corey Ross, Michael Glaspey, Ryan Glaspey, and Joshua Glaspey. Danny is also survived by his Australian Shepherds, Buffy and Misty.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Friday, May 1st at 11am at Fred Hunter Funeral Home in Davie, Florida. Arrangements are being made by Fred Hunter Funeral Home.
Danny had a love of dogs. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Broward County Humane Society.
Visitation will be held at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home, 2401 S University Drive, Davie, FL 33324, US, on May 1, 2026, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
