We recommend to your prayers the soul of Emile Solages, who passed away on April 9, 2026, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Emile was born in La Vallée de Jacmel, Haiti. He was the oldest of five siblings, raised by Elie Solages and Emilienne Dure.
On September 5, 1959, he married Bernadette Franck, with whom he had four children: Elizabeth, Anthony, Ronald, and Lionel. He is survived by his four children and five grandchildren: Anthony Elie, Kimberley, Nicholas Olivier, Isabelle Florence, and Monika.
Today, we celebrate the life of a very good man. He had a passion for industrial mechanics and spent his life assembling and repairing various factories all over his homeland. For 60 years, he was the devoted companion of his wife, Bernadette, until her passing. He was a father not only to his four children but also to his three brothers, countless nephews and nieces, and extended family members whom he helped raise. His life exemplified the joy of sharing and the humility of service.
Please join us in prayer at the viewing at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home in Davie, Florida, on Friday, May 1, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will follow on Saturday, May 2, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Marc Catholic Church on South Flamingo Road in Southwest Ranches.
