Jiří Lamberk, a physician and writer, passed away March 5, 2026, in the United States after a long and fulfilling life. He spent more than fifty years abroad, where he devoted himself to medicine and literary work.
Dr. Lamberk spent much of his professional life working at Jackson North and Memorial Regional Hospitals near Miami. For him, the medical profession was a true calling. He deeply loved his work and valued the patients he cared for as well as his coworkers. He maintained sincere friendships and mutual respect with his colleagues throughout his career.
He was an educated, independent, witty and principled individual who maintained honesty, integrity, and strong moral values throughout his life.
He shared a very close relationship with his beloved brother who predeceased him. For many years, his dear close friend provided steadfast support and cared for him, particularly in his later years.
Jiří Lamberk will be remembered with respect and love by all who were influenced by his life.
