

Jack was born on September 13, 1936, in Providence, Rhode Island, to John and Mildred (Seddon) O’Donnell. He grew up in Warwick, RI, and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 to 1957.
On May 10, 1957, Jack married the love of his life, Jacqueline (Jackie) Volk, with whom he shared many wonderful years. A highly skilled and dedicated professional, Jack worked as a Master Electrician with IBEW Local 723 for over 50 years.
Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jackie; his parents, John and Mildred; and his sister, Elizabeth Shanahan.
He is survived by his daughter, Cindy O’Donnell; his son, Stephen (Tina) O’Donnell; his sister, Barbara Cunniff; grandchildren Sara (O’Donnell) Hernandez, Stephen O’Donnell Jr., and Alison (O’Donnell) Allen; great-grandchildren Amiah Hernandez, Gianna Hernandez, and Carleen Sweeting; great-great-grandchild Briella Bowes; as well as many nieces, nephews, and his cherished dog, Robbie.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Tuesday, November 18th, from 4:00–8:00 p.m., with a service at 5:00 p.m., at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home, 2401 S. University Drive, Davie, FL 33324. Arrangements are being handled by Fred Hunter’s.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to VITAS Hospice of Sunrise for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Hospice Foundation of America in Jack’s memory.
