Marie Scarpinato, age 101, of Broward County, Florida passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025 in Cooper City, Florida. Marie was born in Astoria, Queens, NY to parents Anthony and Pauline Mordente on February 3, 1924. She married Paul Scarpinato. Marie worked at Starks Restaurant in NYC. She was a devout Catholic, NY Yankees fan, loved dining out, playing bingo, and shopping.
Marie is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Paul. She is survived by her daughter Janet, sons Paul and Thomas, daughters in-law Linda and Laura in addition to her 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 5:00 - 9:00 pm on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home, 2401 S. University Drive, Davie, FL. Mass will be held at All Saints Catholic Church on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Fred Hunter's Memorial Gardens North, Hollywood, FL.
