Marilyn was born and raised in the suburbs of Cleveland Ohio to Helen and Casper Szuter. After graduating high school, she soon hit the road for beautiful south Florida and excelled in various jobs in Miami, fort Lauderdale, Hollywood and eventually, Sanibel Island. Marilyn worked for Southwest Bell, the Xerox Corporation, as a realtor and finally as the Vice president of Encore Productions. She also enjoyed judging local beauty pageants and was a heck of a costume designer for J.T. Smith on Sanibel. Her love of all animals never diminished and she often gave generously to the SPCA, among other organizations. Miss St. John always had a love for the Arts, and that perhaps, was her greatest joy. She will be cherished and missed by many of the actors she costumed for at the Old Schoolhouse theatre on Sanibel Island.
