

Sal was born in Jamaica, New York to Carmelo and Maria (Buccheri) Bazzano on July 7, 1928. While he spent most of his life as a General Contractor starting B&B Contracting, Inc. with his son Bob, where they specialized in tile and marble, he wore many hats as a firefighter on Miami Beach, a chef in a restaurant he owned there, as well as building many homes west of Fort Lauderdale. Sal proudly served in the Merchant Marine during WWII. A Renaissance man, Sal loved sports, opera, and the culinary arts, and devoted extraordinary time to horses, and all things equestrian.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Helen, Geri, Richard, Josephine, Milie, and Anthony.
He is survived by his children Robert (Neide) Bazzano, Robin (Rocky) Rahjia, Glenn Bazzano, Jayne (Jamie) Delgado, Lisa Herrero, and Pamela (Douglas) Jones, as well as dear grandchildren, and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at St. David Catholic Church, 3900 S University Dr, Davie, FL 33328 on Monday, July 28 at 11 AM; family and friends are also invited to join us at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home, 2401 S University Dr, Fort Lauderdale, FL. 33324 on Sunday, July 27 between 1-4 PM.
The family of Sal wishes to extend our sincere thanks to his caregivers at EMP Nursing Inc. (Angel, Marva, Christina, Buelah, Dee, and Karen) and Sharon, as well as the Hospice team at Trustbridge for their wonderful and compassionate care.
