Yuri Ivanytsky

Yuri was born on July 28, 1960, in Lviv, Ukraine, to Joseph and Maria Ivanytsky. He attended School No. 34 in Lviv before earning a degree in Architecture from Lviv Polytechnic Institute. After his college years, he worked as a design engineer and later as an artist-constructor at the technical-aesthetic group of the bus factory, where he began developing the creativity and attention to detail that would remain part of who he was throughout his life.

On April 26, 1987, Yuri married the love of his life, Olha, at the beautiful Potocki Palace in Lviv. Together they built a life filled with love, family, travel, and treasured memories.

Yuri had a remarkable gift for painting. Through his artwork, he expressed his kindness, creativity, and love for those around him. He created many beautiful paintings for family and close friends, each one a heartfelt gift. One of his most meaningful creations was a painting of his wife’s favorite flowers, which he lovingly made for their fifth wedding anniversary, a gift our family will always treasure.

Those who knew Yuri will remember his gentle spirit, his artistic talent, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on not only in his paintings, but also in the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him.

Yuri was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Joseph and Maria.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Olha; his loving daughter, Natalia; his cherished granddaughter, Julia; and his beloved sister, Lidia. He also leaves behind extended family and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held in Davie on Thursday, July 16, 2025, at 2401 S University Drive, Davie, Florida. Arrangements are entrusted to Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the friends and loved ones who supported Yuri and our family during this difficult time. Your kindness, prayers, and compassion have been a source of comfort that we will never forget.
