Zona was born in Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica, on April 2, 1932, She married Sidgismund C. Edwards on December 4, 1954, in Jamaica. She was involved in the church ministry at Grace Church of the First Born both in Jamaica and South Florida.
Zona is preceded in death by her beloved husband, the Rev. Dr. S.C. Edwards.
Zona is survived by five children: Opal, David, Michael, Thaydene and Shari; nine grandchildren, and many others who adopted her as their mom.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 11am, Monday, August 18, 2025, at 2401 S. University Drive, Davie, FL 33324. Arrangements are by Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home.
