Irene, we were very sorry to hear of your father's passing. Fifty years ago your dad would pick up my future husband as he was hitchhiking to my parents house. John always said what a nice man he was. It looks like from the tributes on this site many people felt that way about him. May you all find peace.

Cousin Al was a very humble human being. He sure liked his deer hunting and volleyball, especially his out-west hunting trips. He liked having fun and will be missed greatly. Tom and Ruth Gulvas, Midland, MI

When I think about the Gulvas Family Reunion, Albert always comes to mind for being in charge of volleyball and initiating an eagle's nest. I'm sure volleyball has been transferred to someone else's care now . He always went out on the boat with Uncle Lenny the day after too. He was a very active person. The family reunion is getting bigger and bigger on 'the other side'. Love to all the family. Francie

Camp Albert will not be the same ever again! We will add his memorial tribute plaque, and honor him with his other fallen hunting comrades: Elmer, Tom, Lenny, Nancy, and others I am sure I have missed. Peace be with Anne and the family members. I will miss you, Uncle Al! Rose (Trombley) Langdon

It was always so nice to see Al at the Reunion. He made us feel so welcome with his smile and kindness. Although we will not see you at 10:30 mass this year believe me we will always hold the seat for you.

We are so proud to have known Al for so many years. He has always been like a second father in addition to a wonderful friend and mentor. We loved him alot and will miss him dearly as will so many others. He was a very special man who gave us so many fond memories and great times. Our thoughts and prayers are with Anna and all of the family and friends Al has left behind- may God bless all of you and help you find peace in this trying time.
