

Albert Clayton Keillor Jr., age 82, passed away on February 2, 2021. Albert “Al” was born in Bismarck North Dakota to Albert Clayton Keillor Sr. and Ruth Alice (Bakken) Keillor. Al is survived by his wife, Hiroko (Shimahara) Keillor, known to her friends as “Kay”. They were married in 1965, having celebrated their 55th anniversary last July.
Al served his country with nine years (1956-1965) of service in The U.S. Marine Corps. He received Honorable Discharge at the rank of Staff Sergeant. He served much of his military career as an electronics instructor in the avionics division. He especially enjoyed his time served in Japan. Al retired on a service pension from the City of Dayton as an electrician.
Al enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, golfing and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also an avid sports fan of the Cleveland (Browns, Indians & Cavs) and Ohio State Football.
Al is survived by his stepdaughter, Joyce (Koller) Burt; son-in-law, Bruce Burt; granddaughters, Jillian, (Burt) McGuire, Kaitlin Burt, Kelsey (Burt) Orkis and great-granddaughters, Molly “Sunshine” and Annie “Dynamite” McGuire. Other survivors include multiple nieces, nephews and in-laws. Albert was preceded in death by his stepson, Danny Lee Koller (aged 9, 1967); brothers, Cecil Keillor (Oregon), Robert Keillor (California) and his sister, Oliver (Keillor) Kenagy (Oregon).
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the family will be holding a private memorial celebrating Albert’s life. Albert will be laid to rest at a later time with his stepson Danny.
