Amanda L. Baker, age 26 of Beavercreek, passed away unexpectedly on August 12, 2015. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, two aunts and an uncle. She is survived by her husband, Maxx A. Day, parents: mother, Rebecca L. (Tharp) Baker, and father, Michael W. Baker. She is also survived by a brother, Ben Baker, her grandparents, Johnny and Bonnie Tharp, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and her “sisters by choice” Hannah Bernard and Naomi Floyd. Amanda was a mentor to young people and volunteered for NAMI and Youthmove of Dayton. She was instrumental in helping to get a mental illness bill passed when she addressed both the Senate and House of Representatives of Ohio. Friends may call at the Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd., from 4-7 PM on Thursday, August 20, 2015. A memorial service will be held at 7 PM Thursday evening.
