Born in Colton, CA, she was preceded in death by her parents Nicholas and Simona Hernandez, and siblings Nellie and John. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Jess Cancino, children Kim, Laura, Steve, Kathryn, Kevin and Mark, 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
There is no way to put into a few short words the amazing life she exemplified. Amparo was a military wife for over 20 years.
She loved her family, playing with her grand and great-grandchildren, the change of seasons, gardening, yard work, home improvement projects, and everything cats. Her talent was unlimited when it came to crafts, sewing, and decorating cakes.
She was loved by so many because she gave so much. Her 3 year battle with the disease that took her, slowly deprived her of all the things that she loved and enjoyed; yet she never lost her sense of humor or positive attitude.
She was a shining example of bravery. We were all blessed to be part of her life and to have her in ours. Her love and devotion, her smiles, generosity, laughter and good humor will live in our hearts until we see her again.
