She was born in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, to the late Andrew and Dominica Ourfalian. She was a graduate of Carroll High School in 1968 and the University of Dayton, and received a Master's Degree from the University of Cincinnati. Andrea was a beloved teacher who touched the lives of hundreds of students. She retired from the Mad River School District after 33 years of teaching.
Andrea most loved spending time with her family and friends. Whether it was Sunday dinner with her children and grandchildren, card club with friends, or strolling along Indian Lake with her husband in their boat, quality time with others was her passion.
The family would also like to give a special thank you to the wonderful people of River Oaks Memory Care. We greatly appreciate the professional care and kindness their team provided during Andrea’s final years.
Andrea is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Ron; children, Vanessa (Patrick) Rasey, Michael (Megan) Volkerding, Adam Volkerding, and Alex (Margie) Volkerding; and grandchildren Andrew, Marissa, Aubrey, Adalynn, Duke, Milo, and Otto.
In lieu of flowers, guests are welcome to donate to St. Vincent De Paul in Dayton and Carroll High School.
