

Anita (Kelly) Violette, 92, cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother went to her heavenly home on Friday August 01, 2025. Born October 15, 1932, in Verda, KY. She was the daughter of Albert and Louise Kelly.
She was a dedicated mother and dear friend to all. Her love of people led her to volunteer for many years at the Victoria, Schuster & Fraze. She was easily recognized by her joyous smile & brilliant blue eyes. An avid traveler, she participated in numerous outings and trips with her pals from Young at Heart. One of the great joys of her life was her flower garden which she tended with devoted attention. A longtime member of Cornerstone Baptist Temple, she volunteered as a Sunday School teacher, VBS helper and wherever she was needed. On Sundays, you could find her sitting with good friend Vivian Booher in their favorite pew.
Anita was preceded in death by her husband Vern Violette, her parents Albert & Louise Kelly, sister Connie Haynes and brother Gary Kelly.
Survived by her four children, Mike (Penny) Violette, Patty (John) Rudd, Vicki (Nick) Hopson, Lee (Stephanie) Violette. Brother Al (Wanda) Kelly, sister Janice O'Kelley and Special Sister Vivian (Bibby) Trosper. Eight grandchildren - Daren (Stephanie) Rudd, Nicholas (Julie) Hopson, Holly (Kyle) Matlock, Doug Weinert (Jasmine), Kyle (Jeanette) Violette, Lyndsey (Matt) Davidson, Whitney (TJ) Violette and Nick Maury. Thirteen great-grandchildren: Derek, Kendall, Conner, Cheyenne, Kinsey, Ansley, Owen, Harper, Mila, Colton, Nolan, Penelope and Douglas Jr.
Anita loved and devoted her life to God, Family and Friends. She will be missed more than words can describe.
Family will receive friends on Saturday August 9th at Cornerstone Baptist Temple, 1707 Ohmer Street Dayton, OH from 10-noon with service immediately following. Pastor Jerry Siler officiating.
