Annette Groom

Annett Groom age 96, of Dayton, passed away April 8, 2022 at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton. Annette was born in Wallins Creek, Kentucky, August 6, 1925 to Oscar Saylor and Josie (Collins) Saylor. She came to Dayton to work at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, where she met and later married Lorenzo Evans Groom, Jr. Annette was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She was loved deeply by all who knew her. Annette was a faithful member of the Community United Methodist Church for many years. Annette is preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo Evans Groom, Jr., her parents, and eight siblings. She is survived by her brother, Bill Saylor, her three children, Carol Wishard (Timothy), Steve Groom (Natasha), and Kathy Groom (Bob), four grandchildren, Mark Wishard (Crystal), Adam Wishard (Jenny), Aaron Groom (Cintia) and Jonathan Groom (Vitoria), and seven great grandchildren, Ava Wishard, Emersyn Wishard, Rylee Wishard, Asa Groom, Philip Groom, Ian Groom and William Groom.

At Annette's request, there will be no visitation or formal funeral service. A Graveside Service will be conducted at Mount Zion Shoup Cemetery, Corner of Indian Ripple and Fairfield Road 1:00PM Tuesday, April 12, 2022.
