I am so sorry for your loss. Please be assured that God cares for you and will comfort you at this time. God hates death and views it as an enemy. (1 Corinthians 15:26) He has a longing to conquer that enemy, to undo death by means of the resurrection. He yearns to bring back those who are in his memory and to see them live on earth again. (Job 14:14,15)

Tony was my childhood friend, class mate and team mate at Patterson Park Little League. We were talking a few years ago after we reconnected about a few of our games and I told him that my favorite memory was our all star game against North Riverdale when he told us that when he led off in the first inning he was taking it out of the park. He did just that. He started the game by hitting that ball over both fences and out onto Irving Ave. I thought my Dad was going to explode he was so happy for him.... He is sincerely missed and my heart and prayers go out to the Eckley family. I am very sorry.
