Anthony Lacon

LACON, Anthony, a resident of St. Leonard's (formerly of Beavercreek) passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the age of 87. Born as Anthony Loiacono on December 8, 1927 to parents Fredinando and Rose (Greco) Loiacono. Tony was raised in Martin's Ferry, Ohio with twin sisters Eleanor and Rose. He came to the Dayton area shortly after high school. He served as a Staff Sargent in the US Army during the Korean War. He was married for 62 years to Barbara Jean Myers, who survives him. Together they raised four children, Anthony (and wife Donna) of Centerville, Gregory, recently deceased (and wife Carol) of Ft Worth, TX, Jeffery (and wife Venetia) of Xenia, and Teresa of Miamisburg. Also he is survived by 10 grandchildren, Brian (Katherine), Melissa (James), Jacob (Amanda), Jarrett (Chelsea), Jessica, Andrew, Tyler, Quentin, Victoria, and Angelica and 7 great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Isabel, Austin, Julia, Emma, Dominic, and Henry. He retired from Delco Products after 35 years of service; additionally he managed several food service and real estate endeavors over the years. After retiring he became an accomplished stain glass artist, enjoyed gardening, and was an active member of the Order of Sons' of Italy, John Pirelli Lodge. Tony was a life long faithful member of the Catholic Church. As a dedicated husband and father, he achieved his dreams to educate his children and make a comfortable life for his family. Over his lifetime, he enjoyed extensive travel with Barb and spending time with his family.
