Barbara A. Garland

GARLAND, Barbara A., age 90, formerly of Dayton, passed from this world on June 6, 2013 at Sterling Assisted Living Community in Middleton, WI, surrounded by loving hearts. Barbara was born on March 15, 1923, in Memphis, TN. It was in Memphis that she met and married Marvin R. Garland on January 1, 1942. Her husband was a career Air Force officer allowing them to travel to many countries in their married life, which she enjoyed. She was a kind and loving person to all that knew her and she was always ready to help when she was needed. She is survived by her three children; Eugenia G. Beecher (James) of Madison, WI, Judy A. Thaller of Dayton,OH and Marvin R Garland, Jr. (Charlene) of Sunrise, FL as well as her three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thank you’s to Agrace HopsiceCare, Madison, WI and to the care staff at Sterling Assisted Living Community, Middleton, WI for making Barbara’s life and lastly her death comfortable and peaceful. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 10 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, OH. Barbara will be buried beside her husband in the Fairview Cemetery Fairborn, OH with a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11.
