Barbara Ann Johnson

Barbara Ann Johnson of Dayton Ohio passed away Friday, June 26, 2026.  She was born April 9, 1935, in Glouster, Ohio to Otto and Beatrice Duncan.  She was raised by her father and step -mother Hazel Duncan from the age of three years old.  Barbara married the love of her life Edward Johnson on March 17, 1956.  They were married for 61 years until his death on June 22, 2017.  Barbara is also preceded in death by her son Larry E. Johnson, who passed away January 26, 1996, and five brothers and one sister.  She is survived by her children: daughter, Diana C(Jack)Zerbey, son James E(Tina)Johnson, grandchildren: Sarah Zerbey, Anthony(Cammy)Zerbey and Christopher Johnson, and one brother Garry(Donna)Duncan.  Barbara was an avid reader.  She was also a member of the Miami Valley Quilt Guild for many years.  She retired from Dayton Reliable Tool after 26 years of service.  Family would like to thank the Hospice of Dayton for their compassion and care given to Barbara.  Funeral service 1:00pm Thursday, July 2, 2026, with visitations one hour prior at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Beavercreek Chapel.  Burial to follow Valley View Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio, on July 2, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location on July 2, 2026, at 1:00 pm.

Barbara Ann Johnson will be laid to rest at Valley View Memorial Gardens, 170 N Valley Rd, Xenia.
