She is preceded in death by her husband, John, the love of her life. Survived by her five devoted children, Ann Beecroft (Charlie), Chris Schwerdtmann (Dave), Steve Laufersweiler, Mark Laufersweiler (Annie), Amy Bruns (Jeff), 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, with number 21 on the way.
Barbara had lifelong friendships with classmates from Corpus Christi and Julienne High School, and she also attended St. Mary’s of the Springs.
She lived her life with style and grace, was a natural caretaker, a consummate hostess, and a kind and caring friend. She had an eye for interior design, and a gift for creating a warm and inviting home. Above all, she was an adoring wife and mother who loved God and her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Avenue, Centerville, Ohio 45459, on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 11:00 am.
