Benjamin "Benny" R. Ankney Jr. passed on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the age of 77, and was a resident of Kettering, Ohio. Youngest of three, born with a mischievous streak that grew into a love of Artistic expression and outdoor adventures. Born of a family of educators, he used his natural love of teaching to help build a happy home for his wife Ellen and son Nathan.
In the warmer months, he could be found camping, canoeing, or taking nature photos. In the winter, he loved chopping wood and keeping the house warm with the fireplace as well as hovering around the kitchen while Ellen baked cookies.
