FRANZ, Bernard E., 89, of Enon, passed away Sunday, June 30 at Wright Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha, in 2007. Barney is survived by his brother, Gilbert (Kathy) Franz of Merrillville, IN; 2 sisters, Margie (Paul) Eich of Merrillville, IN and Genevieve Shoup of Crown Point, IN. He is also survived by dear friends Angie Alvarado of Enon and Greg Baxley of Beavercreek. Barney retired from WPAFB in 1995 where he was a Patent Attorney. He was a member of the Upper Valley Amateur Radio Club and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Friends may call at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd, on Sunday, July 7, from 5 pm until 7 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Monday, July 8, at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, 954 North Maple Ave, Fairborn followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery.
