

Wahrer, Bernard William, age 95, a long time resident of Beavercreek passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2015, at 1 Lincoln Park. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lillian R., in 2009, his daughter, Deborah Wahrer, two sons, Dennis and Donald Wahrer, his parents, Vincent and Ruby (Whitesell) Wahrer, two brothers, Robert and Joseph Wahrer and a sister, Rita Young. Bernard is survived by his son, David Wahrer, of SC; his daughter, Mary Wahrer and Roy Willman, of Dayton; a brother, Jim Wahrer, of FL; 6 grandchildren, David Wahrer, Sarah Wahrer, Emily Gray, Nicholas (Andrea) Wahrer, Valerie (David) Wahrer, Adrianne (Brad) Klabik and 8 great grandchildren. He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church. He was a cryptographer for the U.S. Army and served in the Pacific Theater in WWII. His fun loving and gentle charm lit up any room and his family will miss his deep love and oddball sense of humor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, from St. Helen Catholic Church, 5100 Burkhardt Road with Father David Brinkmoeller officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 with the family providing a brief service at 7:00 p.m., If desired, contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
