HALSEY, Betty Lou, age 83, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on July 10, 2013. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Donald C. Halsey, two sons: Timothy (Rose) and Gary Halsey; 2 brothers: Donnie and Larry Hollar; granddaughter, Jennifer Halsey, many nieces and nephews and her best friend Mildred Jones. Betty Lou had been a member at Patterson Park Church for over 40 years and was awarded Teacher of the Year in 1964 while teaching at the church. She loved to pray for strangers, family and friends. A graveside service will be held at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio, Monday, July 15, 2013 at 12:00 pm with Rev. Joe Godwin officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty Lou’s memory to Patterson Park Church, 3655 E. Patterson Rd. Dayton, Ohio 45430.
