Betty L. Mayer

Mayer, Betty L., age 86, a longtime resident of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at the Brighton Gardens Assisted Living Center. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Richard W. Mayer in 2007, her daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and Steve Hatton, and three siblings, Phyllis Sheehan, Dean and Robert Dilworth. Betty is survived by her 3 daughters, Vicki (Perry) Kiser, Linda (Gary) Allbright, Kris (Glen) Schwarzman; her brother, Kermit (Judy) Dilworth; 9 grandchildren, Jeff (Heather) Hatton, Julie (Phil) Myers, Kevin (Kristin) Kiser, Gary Kiser, Dawn (Ray) Jenkins, Dan (Jen) Allbright, Diane (Joel) Carey, Mark (Taylor) Schwarzman, Matt Schwarzman; 10 great grandchildren, Emma Lee Kiser, Alyssa and Joseph Jenkins, Madelyn and Jillian Myers, Karissa and Kendall Allbright, Max and Mia Carey, Noel Cain; 2 great great grandchildren, Braden and Eliza. Betty was a graduate of Patterson High School and a long time member of Memorial United Church of Christ, Centerville Civic Club and TWIGS. She was an avid bowler at both Pla-Mor and Beaver Vu Lanes. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road with Reverend Eileen Hix officiating. Interment will follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2015.
