Beverly "Bev" Jean Laurito

Beverly Jean Laurito,age 72, of Dayton, Ohio passed away at Kettering Medical Center on September 29, 2017. Beverly is survived by the love of her life and husband of 47 years, Jeff Laurito. She is also survived by her daughters and sons -in-law, Erin and John Staugler and Lisa and Matt Stilwell, and the lights of her life: granddaughters Sloane and Blair Stilwell and Jane and Sadie Staugler. As she always said to them, she “loves that little face.” Beverly was preceded in death by her mother, Theressa Bjoralt, her favorite uncle “Bud” Bjoralt, and many other loving family members. Beverly was born in Long Beach, CA but has always considered Dayton her true home. She fought a hard battle against pulmonary disease and heart disease until the world’s kindest and most loving heart could not keep her with us any longer. She was the woman we aspire to grow up to be. She was classy, smart, kind, thoughtful, loving, and loved to laugh. She dedicated her life to her family and friends, and her home was welcome to and full of people who just wanted to be around her. She was an inspiration to so many, and made an impression on us that will last forever. The family is grateful that Bev made her wishes known. She chose to be cremated and laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery. “Close to the road so nobody has to walk too far to throw a flower out the window.” She would much prefer you raise a gin and tonic in her honor than shed a tear (“Tangarey if you don’t mind and in a tall glass if it isn’t too much trouble…with a lime please?” To that end, Bev’s family is hosting a Celebration of her Life on Thursday, October 5th at 6:00pm at NCR Country Club in Kettering. Family and friends are welcome to attend for a sharing of memories followed by food and spirits, just as she would have preferred. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Dayton Children’s Hospital, The Little Exchange in Oakwood, OH or any organization supporting our Nation’s veterans.
